“Practice and make of yourself a light. Become a beacon of hope right where you are. This is possible for you.”

Happy Spring equinox, dear friends— As the days get longer and the buds begin to blossom in this season of renewal, it seems fitting to share this prescient Dharma teaching, Becoming the Light: Nurturing the Field of Well-Being.

In this hopeful video from Spirit Rock, I invite you to honor the light of your own heart within. Remember that well-being is not something to chase—it is here, awaiting your caring presence. Through presence, loving awareness, and gentle practice, you can nurture the field of well-being in yourself and positively affect the world around you. Tending to your inner light, you bring more wisdom, compassion, and joy into your life, and the lives all you touch.

It is from this recognition of your own natural beauty and nobility that you can best serve the world and mend the places that are calling for your nurturing support. May this teaching help you reconnect to the strong loving heart within you, so you can share it abundantly with the world.

With metta,
Jack
